Bhubaneswar: Two front wheels of a high-capacity parcel van of the Yasvantpur-Howrah Duranto Express derailed, at 11:14 a.m. on Friday, while passing through the Haridaspur railway station yard in Khurda, Odisha.

A statement released by the East Coast Railway read as follows "2 front wheels of high-capacity package van of 12246 YASVANTPUR-HOWRAH Duranto Express derailed while passing through Haridaspur Railway Station Yard at 11.14 hours today, all passengers are safe." 

According to official sources, the affected coach was adjacent to the engine, and no injuries or fatalities were reported."The passenger coaches will be linked to another engine and transported to their final destination." The incident will have no impact on train services on the Kharagpur-Bhubaneswar mainline, according to sources.

The affected coaches will be restored as quickly as possible. They stated that the Khurda Road Divisional Railway Manager, together with high-level officers and ART, had arrived at the scene.
