New Delhi: Delhi's Aquila restaurant, which has made headlines for not giving entry over wearing saris, does not seem to be easing. Now the South Delhi Municipal Corporation has sent a notice to the restaurant for not Health trade licence. South Delhi Municipal Corporation Mayor Mukesh Suryan informed that a show-cause notice was issued to the restaurant Aquila the controversy came to light. Also, a penalty was imposed for a non-health trade licence and a closure notice was also issued. This restaurant is located in Ansal Plaza.
 
This notice was sent on September 24. It said the public health inspector found that the restaurant was running without a health trade licence. Also, unhygienic transpired found in the restaurant. The restaurant owner was then ordered to close it within 48 hours. The notice said that if the restaurant owner does not do so, the corporation will take appropriate action without any advance notice. This includes the ceiling of the restaurant. Meanwhile, in response, the restaurant owner said that the restaurant has been closed.

 

Tell you that last week a video went viral on social media. It had a woman claiming that she was not allowed into the restaurant for wearing a sari. Not only that, but the woman had also accused the restaurant staff of misbehaving. On the other hand, the restaurant had said in its defence that the restaurant is a domestic brand that believes in respecting the Indian community and always welcomes its guests in all dress codes from modern to traditional. The restaurant had also claimed that the dispute was over the place and the woman had also slapped the manager.
