Mumbai: On Saturday morning, five wagons of a goods train derailed in the yard of Western Railway's Boisar station, located about 100 kilometers from Mumbai. Officials confirmed that the incident did not disrupt rail traffic.

The derailment occurred at 6:45 am when the train, loaded with containers, was moving within the yard. "No one was injured in the incident. There was no impact on the movement of suburban or long-distance trains as it occurred inside the yard," stated Vinit Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway. Efforts are underway to re-rail the wagons.

This marks the second derailment on Western Railway's Mumbai division network in less than 10 days. On July 19, a goods train derailed at Dungri station near Valsad in Gujarat, coinciding with a review meeting chaired by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav at Western Railway's Churchgate headquarters.

In addition, several other derailments have occurred recently:

• On July 21, a guard bogie of a goods train derailed during internal shunting in the goods yard of Ranaghat, Nadia district, West Bengal.
• On the same day, a freight train traveling from Alwar Goods Station to Rewari in Rajasthan derailed on the Mathura track at around 2:30 AM.
• On July 20, at least seven coaches of a goods train derailed between the Ghaziabad and Moradabad sections in Uttar Pradesh.
