Only two days after his retirement, former Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi vacated the Lutyens' bungalow in the posh area of Delhi. Normally, judges are given one month's time to vacate the bungalow after retirement. So that he can empty the house as per his convenience.

Former Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi retired on November 17, who delivered the verdict in important cases like Ayodhya, NRC, and triple talaq. Gogoi was given a bungalow at five Krishna Menon Marg in the capital Delhi during his tenure. Which he vacated two days after his retirement.

According to media reports, Justice Sharad Arvind Bobde became the 47th Chief Justice of India (CJI) after Justice Ranjan Gogoi retired. Apart from Ayodhya, Justice Bobde has been a part of the bench which gave decisions on many important matters.

Justice Ranjan Gogoi was born on 18 November 1954, he became the 46th CJI of the country. He joined the Bar Council in 1978. Justis Gogoi started his career with the Guwahati High Court. In 2001, there were judges. In 2010, he became a judge in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Then on 23 April 2012, the Supreme Court judge was appointed.
