Fourth Pillar of the Democracy is about to Fall down?

After Judiciary, Executive and Legislature, Journalist are the 4th pillar of Democracy. They are the only mirror between a common man and the government. Media is established in any country to help the social causes and to reveal the truth whatever it is. There should be nothing which can influence Media.

How good it feel when we read something about like this for media, these lines gives common man a hope that at least there is somebody who is there for us, but when it comes to their rights, why they are not free to work? Why in place of getting appreciation they get death as reward?

From the Last year records by the annual report of Reporters without Borders 115 journalists were killed world wide, and in India 9 journalists killed last year and 4 cases are still uncleared. It’s a matter of concern that ahead of both Pakistan and Afghanistan, India is the 3rd most dangerous country as Asia’s deadliest country for media personnel.

Currently there are three cases in which a journalistS were brutally killed, first one is A senior journalist Bureau Chief Rajdev Ranjan was murdered at Siwan town in Bihar.

Barely half a km away from Town police station two bullets hit Ranjan, one on his forehead and the other, his neck.

Incident caught political reactions from BJP legislature party leader and former deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi said: “While we condemn the senior journalist’s killing in the strongest words, the Bihar CM should take steps to salvage the law and order situation at home instead of frequently making trips to nurse his political ambitions.”

Jagendra Singh is also another example of was an Indian journalist from Uttar Pradesh. He died on 8 June 2015 from burn injuries.

Like this there are about more than 10 cases in a year, then a big question raise on the government that what they are doing to protect these pillars?

As we know that the Indian constitution is the lenient constitution in the world, even it gives so much time to a criminal that they easily erase all their evidence that prove them guilty.

There is no fast track courts are assigned for these kind of cases and no such strict law which can prevent them from these kind of loses. It is not only a question on the law or the constitution but also for our political parties, that how long they will play with someone’s life as nothing! At any point it all get ended and the truth will be revealed
