"Tum Mujhe Khoon Do mai Tumhe Aazadi Dunga"

We all have heard of this famous quote in our childhood by the great leader Subhash Chandra Bose. This quote is just glimpse of his sheer patriotism, exceptional leadership qualities and the fight he had for the freedom of his country. 

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, lovingly called Subhas, was born in Cuttack, on 23rd January 1987, Orrisa to an upper middle-class family. His father was Government leader and public prosecutor of Cuttack. Subhas Chandra ji was one among his large family of brothers.

He has had an outstanding educational career and was a very bright student since childhood who always topped in exams. He also went to England to compete for Indian Civil Services where again he excelled and topped the exam. But he didn't serve there for long as his heart was pounding to serve his country and soon after, a year, resigned from I.C.S  and joined Indian Army as soldier. 

The pathetic condition of his fellow countrymen made him realise that non-violence alone cannot  bring the change in the country and cannot bring freedom. He not only had the most daring attitude but also was very sharp and a strategic planner who always took decisions wittingly. In the beginning he was a follower of Mahatma Gandhi but after becoming the president of Indian National Congress for the second time he had major differences with Gandhi and resigned from there. 

He traveled to Afghanistan, in the getup of a Pathan. He managed to reach Germany and then Japan. He organized his 60,000 strong I.N.A.(Indian National Army) to fight India's war of independence from outside India. He said to his soldiers, 'Give me blood and I will give you freedom.'

In conclusion there is so much that he had done for his country which is we all the Indians should be greatful and proud for. He was cast by nature in the mould of greatness. His straightforwardness and cut-through personality were his weapons. Few men are born with such virtue of being so pure in chracter , consistent in principles and such firm determination. He was a true depiction of "Action speak Louder than words". 

He did not fear even death. "I am immortal till my work is done", he used to say. He took hi last breath on 19th August 1945 at an age of 45 years. May the soul of the mighty architect of India's liberation lead us and show us light in the country's sad moments.
