While promoting his upcoming film, Rocketman, on Jimmy Fallon's talk show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Richard recalled his Game of Thrones days and made a very interesting revelation. Before his big break in GOT, Richard was living off 5 bucks a day. Madden was on his last month's rent when he finally got the call for the HBO series and hence, he asked his agent for an advance and that helped him get through the next few months. The actor also stated that if he did not get the part of Robb Stark, the would have had to move back to his parents' house.

Richard also recalled the first time he met co-stars Kit Harington and Alfie Allen during the season 1 table read of Game of Thrones. Recently, the actor had shared a throwback photo of the trio on Instagram.
