New Delhi: Whether the universal lockdown goes ahead or not, one thing is clear that you are going to keep distance from people for a long time to come. In view of this challenge, the grocery store of your locality is also being upgraded. Now these grocery stores are also going digital. Soon you will be able to purchase goods from them through an app.

An official of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has claimed that the E-Lala portal will be launched soon. About 7 crore shopkeepers and 40,000 trade associations are associated with CAIT. According to CAT, the purpose of starting this portal is to deliver the goods from their nearest shop to the house amidst lockdown. Experts say that after the launch of the e-Lala app, big e-commerce companies of the country can get a tough challenge.

With the launch of this portal, other e-commerce companies like Flipkart, Amazon which deliver groceries and other products will be challenged. The CAT officer related to the case says that the e-Lala portal is not new. It was launched in 2015. But it could not be more popular. Now due to the lockdown, Kat has decided to re-launch this. The technical problems faced in this have been removed. It is expected that after the lockdown is over, e-Lala will be able to serve the people in a more effective manner.
