Sagar: A major negligence in corona vaccination has come to light in the Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh. Here, an incident of 39 children of the school being given the anti-corona vaccine with a single syringe has come to light. The entire incident came to light after the parents of the children complained about the matter.

In fact, vaccination was being done at Jain Higher Secondary School in the district on Wednesday by holding a camp for school students as part of the Mahatikakaran Abhiyan. Due to this, some parents saw the vaccinator vaccinating all the children with a single syringe, after which, the whole matter came to light. Giving details of the matter, the same district officials said that due to a mega vaccination drive in the school, negligence has been exposed, after which an FIR has been lodged against the vaccinator identified as Jitendra Ahirwar. At the same time, the health official said that 39 children aged 15 years and above who were vaccinated were from class IX to XII.

After protests from parents, Sagar in-charge Collector Kshitij Singhal sent the district chief medical and health officer (CMHO) Dr DK Goswami to investigate the matter. The officer said those present at the spot told Goswami that the vaccinator had used the same syringe to vaccinate 39 children. Ahirwar fled from the spot after protests from the parents, when the CMHO inspected the school, he was not found. The criminal has switched off his phone for the time being. An officer of the Gopalganj police station said they have registered an FIR against Ahirwar under section 336 of the Indian Penal Code (negligence endangering human life or personal safety of others).
