In view of the coronavirus epidemic, Vijay Diwas which is on December 16 is supposed to be celebrated on the basis of social distance and a limited number of people. District Magistrate Savin Bansal said that a brief program will be organized on Vijay Diwas in order of the guidelines received from the government. A specified number of people will be able to participate in the program.

District Magistrate Bansal has instructed the District Military Welfare and Rehabilitation Officer, Captain DS Dhapola (Sen.) that arrangements will be made in time for the Vijay Diwas program. Ensure sanitizer arrangements at the venue. The invitation will be given to the people according to the Coronavirus guidelines. Use of masks will be made mandatory along with social distance at the venue. He has instructed the Chief Municipal Commissioner, Municipal Corporation that special cleaning etc. will be ensured in the premises of the martyr's memorial.

District Military Welfare Officer Dhapola said that Vijay Diwas is celebrated to commemorate the victory of India during 1971 Indo-Pak war. On this occasion, tributes are paid to the soldiers who were martyred in this historic war. The heroes of martyrs and soldiers involved in the war are to be honoured. He said that the guard of honour will be given by the police at the Martyr Memorial site on Wednesday, December 16 at 10 am. A wreath will be paid at the martyr's memorial.
