Best known for his relentlessly hilarious performance as the geeky Chatur in 3 Idiots, Omi Vaidya celebrates his 41st birthday today, January 10, 2023.

Omi Vaidya, a native of Los Angeles, California, found himself breaking into the ruthless world of Bollywood when he was chosen to play the eccentric Chatur in 3 Idiots.

Omi grabbed the admiration of both his audience and his detractors with his shaky speech and anglicised Hindi, and he swiftly became well-known. Since then, he has made appearances in Players, Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji, and Desi Boyz. Omi, who studied filmmaking at New York University, has been in a number of commercials as well as the comedies The Office and Arrested Development.

Omi Vaidya, born in Rajkumar Hirani's popular film Three Idiot Chatur Ramalingam or Silencer, was born and raised in Yucca Valley, California. He graduated from Los Angeles County High School for the Arts and later went to the University of California, Santa Cruz for two years. He then got his transfer to the Tis School of Arts at the University of New York.

He was married to Minal Patel on 22 August 2009. In 2010, he received the award for Best Comedian for the film Three Idiots. He won the Star Debut Male of the Year Award for the film Three Idiots. He also received the 2010 Lions Gold Award for Three Idiots.

Om Vaidya has worked as an actor, director, editor, writer, a television presenter in his career. Omi played a prolific role in many popular films Arrested Development, The Office, Dil To Bachcha Hai Ji, Desi Boys.
