Chandigarh: A heart-wrenching case has come to light from Gohana in Haryana, where a man killed his wife and dumped the corpse in drain number eight (canal). Seeing the dead body, the local people gave the police a complaint. On reaching the spot, the police took out the corpse and called the family to identify it. Police said the woman's husband doubted her. Because of this, he murdered his wife.

Police took the corpse and sent it to District Hospital for postmortem and started investigating the case. Police said that the culprit used to beat his wife and strangled her with a rope at home and murdered her. Then the corpse was thrown into drain number eight (canal). The police is searching for the culprit.

The age of the deceased is said to be around 32 to 33 years. The family recently came to live in a rented house in Mughalpura, Gohana. The woman got married 13 years ago. According to the information received from the police, the criminal was addicted to alcohol and he always doubted the character of his wife and used to beat her. The couple has three children, two girls, and one son. The older girl said that her father often beat her mother. SHO Amit Kumar of Gohana City Police investigating the case said, at night the person who received Tahrir in the Mughalpura colony killed his wife and locked the body in a sack, and dumped it in drain number eight.
