The Allahabad High Court has granted bail to former Minister of State for Home Chinmayananda in the case of rape of LLM student of Shahjahanpur, but Chinmayanand's troubles have not diminished. In this whole episode, there have been strong comments about both sides. Despite the exploitation, the silence of the victim student and the attempt to take advantage of Chinmayanand became the basis of bail. The High Court said, 'A girl whose virginity is at stake, she did not say a word about it to her parents or before the court, it is surprising behavior.'

On Monday, the High Court has ordered the release of Chinmayanand on bail. In the order, the court has also put forth the facts on the basis of which it was decided to grant bail. Justice Rahul Chaturvedi commented - 'It cannot be said who used it. The fact is that both have used each other. It is a matter of something rather than something.

The High Court said that we have come to the conclusion that the whole matter was about getting the reward by Miss A (the court has used the same term for the student) but with time the greed to get more increased. Miss A conspired with her companions and attempted to blackmail Chinmayananda, also through videos which she herself had recorded. The court also took cognizance that Miss-A's family benefited from the accused (Chinmayananda). The court granted the bail application of Chinmayananda, considering the age of the accused, the silence of the victim and the maximum sentence of 10 years for the crime. The court also commented on Chinmayananda that he held the post of Minister of State for Home and is influential on both society and administration and can influence the facts during the hearing in Shahjahanpur, hence the court ordered the case to be heard in Lucknow.
