Shimla: Ahead of the Himachal Pradesh assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state unit president Anup Kesari along with two other leaders joined the BJP on Friday (April 8). He has accused the party's national convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal of insulting local leaders.

After AAP general secretary Satish Thakur and Una district president Iqbal Singh along with BJP chief JP Nadda deepened the BJP's membership in Delhi, Kesari said Kejriwal does not even meet party leaders. He said that during the rally in Himachal, Kejriwal did not even look at the local leaders. According to Kesari, "In Himachal Pradesh, we had been working for the party for 8 years with full honesty and dedication, but Arvind Kejriwal ignored the local workers during the rally and roadshow in Mandi. AAP workers in the state considered this negligence an insult and left the party.''

On ignoring the workers during the roadshow in Mandi, Kesari said that Kejriwal did not even look at those who are working for the party day and night. Only Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann were the highlights during the roadshow. The leaders, who have joined the BJP, have assured to work closely with senior BJP leaders Anurag Singh Thakur and JP Nadda from Himachal Pradesh and strengthen the BJP.
