New Delhi: After the Muslim parties in the Ayodhya case, now the first reconsideration petition from the Hindu side has been filed in the apex court. The All India Hindu Mahasabha has filed a review petition in the Supreme Court urging it to reconsider its November 9 decision. The petition, filed by advocate Vishnu Jain, sought reconsideration of the order for 5 acres of land to be given to the Sunni Waqf Board.

The petition said that the Supreme Court's decision to grant 5 acres of land to the Muslim side under Article 142 is not justified, as it was a civil suit. When the court has given the land to the God Ramlala, there is no justification for giving land alternatively. Neither side sought alternative land in the "Molding of Relief". The Supreme Court should not give 5 acres of land to the Muslim side under Article 142.

The petition also said that the apex court in its November 9 verdict has declared the structure as a mosque, which is also not correct as the court itself has admitted that there was a temple under it. When the 5-judge bench did not consider the Sunni Waqf Board as entitled, how could the structure be called a mosque.
