New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will lay the foundation stone of the new headquarters of CRPF today. This headquarters will be built near the CGO complex. The target is to complete this project by the year 2022. The headquarters will be constructed at a total cost of 277 crores. 11 floors will be built with 3 basements in 45,675 sqm area.

The facility of auditorium, conference hall, barracks, guest room, gym, etc. will be available in this building. It will also have parking facilities for 520 vehicles. CRPF informed by tweeting that the Union Home Minister Amit Shah will lay the foundation stone of the headquarters at 12 noon. Significantly, last month, Shah visited the current headquarters of the CRPF's CGO complex and reviewed the security arrangements being handled by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Naxalite affected areas of the country and Jammu and Kashmir.
