Chandigarh: A canter hit three bike-borne people on Monday afternoon at a roundabout on Gohana Road in Rohtak, Haryana. Two people lost their lives on the spot in the collision, while the woman succumbed to her injuries at the PGI. The canter driver fled leaving the vehicle on the spot.

According to the police, in the preliminary action, it has been found that Tarachand, a resident of Kavi, a nearby village of Matlauda in Panipat district, has gone with his wife Manoj to his kinship in Chamaria village. Both are around 50 years old. He had left Chamaria village to come to the city from Chamaria village in the afternoon on a bike along with Ranbir Singh, a resident of Chamaria village.

A canter coming from behind hit the Vita Milk Plant. Due to the collision, the bike came in front of the canter. While Ranbir and Tarachand lost their lives on the spot, Manoj died in PGI.
