WESTMINSTER: Police descended on a party boat on Saturday night after a huge fight saw one man stabbed and two other people injured. One witness said he saw around 10 police cars, with officers helping the “walking wounded” off the boat shortly after 11.30pm.

Sports journalist Toby Gilles said he was passing by the boat when he saw a host of officers and paramedics arriving. He tweeted: “Gentleman wrapped in foil, clearly in & out of consciousness, led away in wheelchair 2 yards from me. “Another man walks by. Loads questioned.”

He wrote: “Cannot believe there was the need for that many police for a fight on a boat.”

A Scotland Yard spokesman said three men had been found on board suffering from injuries who were taken to a north London hospital for treatment. One of the men, aged 21, was suffering from stab wounds and remains in hospital.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. The other two injured men, one aged 24 and the other aged 21, were later arrested on suspicion of affray. They are being questioned by police alongside another 21-year-old.
