Nawada: An incident of a girl committing suicide due to dowry has come to light in Nawada, Bihar. When the girl's father could not arrange and send the dowry amount to the house of the groom's side, the girl took the path of death. The police have registered a case and started investigating the incident. The incident took place in the Akbarpur police station area of Nawada. Madhavendra Chaudhary, a resident of Dariyapur village in the district, had fixed the marriage of his daughter Vinita Kumari at Darve village in Patna district six months ago.
According to the girl's father, the dowry amount was to be offered to the groom's side by Monday. When the money could not be arranged, the girl's father called the groom's side and said that the dowry amount has to be discussed. After that, the bridegroom refused to marry for 2 years.
According to the girl's father, when the groom's side refused to marry, the information of this also came to Vinita. Frustrated by this, she hanged herself to death. Akbarpur police station, who rushed to the spot after the incident, took the body into their custody and started investigating the incident. The body has been sent to Sadar Hospital for post mortem. The girl's mother, Minta Devi, said Vinita could not bear the refusal of the groom's side. Vinita hanged herself when she was alone in the house. It is being said that it was already too late for her marriage. On the other hand, Vinita was very happy about the marriage. Suddenly, her heart was broken when the groom's side refused to marry due to insufficient dowry amount. The case is under investigation.
