Jabalpur: A wife lost her life in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur city for not preparing hot food for her husband. Enraged by his wife's non-preparation of fresh food, the husband beat her to death. The police have arrested the accused husband.

Talking about the incident, Barela CSP Apoorva Fortdar said, Devdati Kol (aged about 35 years), a resident of Badharaji under Kundam police station, had been living as husband and wife with her brother-in-law Ajay Kol since the death of her husband. There were frequent quarrels between the two. Police have sent the body for post-mortem after receiving the news of the incident and arrested the culprit. The cause of death will be revealed only after the post-mortem report.

Another incident in Jabalpur came to light in which a son-in-law raped and unnaturally assaulted his 65-year-old mother-in-law. On the complaint of the victim, the police have arrested the culprit. According to Tilwaraghat police station in-charge Lekhram Nadoria, the 65-year-old woman lodged a report at the police station on Monday. She had been living in Bajnamth area with her daughter and son-in-law since her husband's death.
