Mumbai: Two persons involved in illegal possession of uranium and trying to sell it at an expensive price have been arrested by the Mumbai Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS). In fact, a few days ago, the news came out, which caused a stir. As per the information received now, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) will investigate the uranium discovery incident in Mumbai.

NIA has registered a case against the accused as part of information received in the case. The two accused in the case are said to be Jigar Pandya and Abu Tahir. In fact, both these accused had concealed 7 kg 100 grams of uranium in a factory in Mankhurd. The duo is said to have been secretly looking for customers to sell this uranium stock since last year. Not only that, both of them had fixed the price of so much uranium at close to Rs.25 crores. The information reached santosh bhalikar, inspector-in-charge of police in ATS, and then he laid a trap and arrested the two accused. Both the accused are said to have received higher education.

Both have MBA degree. Jigar works in a private IT company and Tahir is associated with the business of import and export. The uranium recovered from both is 90 per cent natural and pure and is estimated to be worth at least Rs 21 crore in international markets. Both the accused have been ordered to be kept in police custody till May 12.
