Indore: A case of cheating of two lakh rupees has come to the retired bank officer by pretending to remove uric acid from the knees. It was later revealed that the 'doctor' is illiterate. He used to treat himself as a specialist of knees. The police also arrested two of his associates. According to Tilak Nagar police station Gulab Singh Rawat, two accused had taken two lakh rupees from 70-year-old Tarun Parikh, a resident of Bakhtavaram Nagar. Parikh's knees ache.

While returning after getting treatment, a gang member said that he knows a doctor who treats the knees very well. A day later, Dr. Hameed Ansari received a call and reached Parikh's house for treatment. After some investigation, uric acid is deposited. A drop will cost Rs 760. Accused took out about 500 drops and handed over a bill of three lakh 80 thousand rupees. After bargaining, it was decided to give three lakh rupees. After this, the accused took two lakh rupees including cash and cheque. When the accused asked Parikh for two lakhs in the name of medicines, he got suspicious and reached the police station with the daughter-in-law.

The fake doctors Rizwan alias Ranjit (doctor) and Mohammad Ali were arrested on Saturday. Rizwan is illiterate and resides in Dewas. The police also arrested Shafruddin and Salman on Sunday. Both used to do the work of extorting money from checks and racking them. SI has seized two lakh rupees and car. According to SI, they are looking for tools from which blood was extracted from the knees.
