Over 40,000 new cases in last 24 hours, corona surges again in nation

New Delhi: Coronavirus cases in the country have once again begun to scare off. According to data released by the Health Ministry, 40,953 new cases have been registered in the last 24 hours. Not only that, the number of people who lost their lives in the last 24 hours has been 188. In the past 24 hours, 23,653 people have recovered from the corona.

When it comes to the total corona cases in the country, the number has gone up to 1,15,55,284. So far, a total of 1,11,07,332 people have recovered from corona across the country. There are a total of 2,88,394 active cases in the country so far. The death toll from the corona is 1,59,558. The second phase of the vaccination campaign is continuing in the country. So far, 420,63,392 people have been vaccinated. In the last 24 hours, 27 lakh people have been vaccinated. In the first phase, frontline workers have been given vaccines and now the elderly over 60 years are being vaccinated for the corona.

Corona cases have risen again in March. Maharashtra, Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh have seen a sharp rise in infection cases. Night curfew is being imposed in Maharashtra and Punjab, while schools, colleges are being closed and lockdown in hotspot areas in other states including Madhya Pradesh.
