New Delhi: In a recent interview, Prime Minister Narendra Modi outlined his vision for India, emphasizing that by the time the nation celebrates its 100th year of independence, it will have transformed into a developed nation. He expressed his unwavering commitment to eradicating corruption, communalism, and casteism from the fabric of Indian society.

PM Modi also discussed the forthcoming G20 summit scheduled to be held in New Delhi, highlighting how India has emerged as a global guiding force. He noted that the world now views India's words and vision as a roadmap for the future, a significant shift away from the traditional GDP-centric perspective toward a more human-centric approach, with India playing a central role in driving this transformation.

The Prime Minister underlined the evolving perception of India on the global stage. He observed that India has shifted from being perceived as a nation of one billion hungry stomachs to one with a billion aspirational minds and two billion skilled hands. He expressed confidence in India's demographic dividend, suggesting that the nation has a historic opportunity to lay the groundwork for a prosperous future that will be remembered for centuries to come. India is no longer merely a large market but an active contributor to solving global challenges.

PM Modi also addressed political issues, taking a swipe at opposition parties and their perceived "freebie culture." He cautioned against irresponsible financial policies and populism, emphasizing that such approaches might yield short-term political gains but impose significant social and economic costs in the long run. Furthermore, the Prime Minister noted that previous governments lacked the confidence to host high-profile global events outside Delhi, subtly criticizing the opposition's handling of such matters.

Discussing India's G20 Presidency, PM Modi highlighted its positive impact on the confidence of third-world countries, often referred to as the Global South. He reiterated India's commitment to voicing the concerns of marginalized populations both domestically and on the global stage. The theme of India's G20 Presidency, "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," reflects a comprehensive philosophy rooted in India's cultural heritage.

Addressing the Russia-Ukraine conflict, PM Modi reiterated India's stance on dialogue and diplomacy as the sole means to resolve conflicts. He defended India's neutral position and the decision to continue buying fuel from Russia, emphasizing that every country seeks the best possible deals for its citizens. The Prime Minister concluded by emphasizing India's unwavering support for global peace initiatives and addressing climate change. He stressed the need for tailored solutions rather than one-size-fits-all approaches in tackling this global challenge. PM Modi's vision for India reflects a commitment to progress, global leadership, and addressing pressing global issues while upholding the nation's values and cultural ethos.
