NEW DELHI: BJP Executive Chairman J P Nadda said in a statement that the entire country had demanded an inquiry into death of Shyam Prasad Mukherjee. However,  then Prime Minister, Pandit Naharu, did not order an inquiry into the death of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.

He said history is a testimony to this. Dr. Mukherjee's sacrifice will never go waste, the BJP is committed to it. On the death anniversary of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on Sunday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP Executive Chairman JP Nadda and other party leaders paid homage to him at the BJP headquarters in the national capital. The statue of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was vandalised in West Bengal, after which the state of Bengal was hit by a landslide.
