Jackson Wang’s Cruel is officially out now! Wang has been super busy with his schedule, following the successful comeback of his group GOT7 this year, and singing an OST for Minions: The Rise of Gru’s and festival appearances, the singer has released a new single “Cruel” which will be followed by his Solo Debut album “Magic Man”. The latest release was first performed by Jackson three months ago at this year’s Coachella.

The single shows a different side of the singer-songwriter, with distorted guitar riffs, however, the vocals for the song are the classic Wang style. The song is about relationship and the bubbling confidence and lust in the protagonist while the lyrics go along the lines of,  “I’m coming back to you/ So I really hope that you don’t mind/ I know you want me, too/ Even though you’re not mine/ You got that look in your eyes.” 

In the music video of the song, Jackson plays the role of a wizard fighting off dark forces and facing a powerful temptress. The video also consists of some action-packed martial arts sequences, basically the single is about everything you have been waiting for. 

The singer is basically a multi-talented individual, with his music and fashion the singer is going places. Recently, Wang was announced to be part of Indonesia’s We The Fest lineup, where he will be performing this September. He is also scheduled to host a party at the Marquee nightclub in Singapore this August, becoming the first international artist to host a party at the nightclub. Additionally, he has also launched a new line of summer apparel under Team Wang Designs.
