Srinagar: In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the dead body of a missing policeman was found hanging from a tree since last night. The policeman was missing from his house late last night and his body has been recovered this morning. It is feared that some unknown people killed him and hanged his body from a tree. The policeman has been identified as Mohammad Ashraf.
According to the Budgam police, the missing policeman was kidnapped by some unknown people from his village Arichandhama last evening. After this morning, his body was found in an apple orchard some distance away from the house. Police said the body has injuries and a rope was found in his neck, which is feared that he was also tortured before the murder. According to the police, Ashraf was in the 21st Battalion of the Indian Reserve Police and was presently posted in Paripaspora of Baramulla.
Ashraf reached his home on Wednesday only after taking leave, from where some unknown miscreants kidnapped and killed him. At present, the people involved in the murder are being searched by sending additional security forces to the area and start a search operation on a large scale. Police is not denying that terrorists may be behind this murder, but the investigation is still going on whether this incident is normal or terrorist incident.
