Srinagar: After the abrogation of Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, the situation is returning to normal. Section 144 has been removed from Jammu. The situation is normal in Samba, Kathua, Reasi, Ramban and Udhampur. On Monday, markets in many localities re-opened for the Eid festival. People are going out to shop in the markets. The police also said that all restrictions would be lifted soon.

Governor Satyapal Malik has said that "now the Eid of freedom will be celebrated in the Valley. "Everyone is preparing for the festival, people without fear celebrate Eid," Governor Malik said, "Everyone is busy preparing for Eid, is engaged in more facilities, a large number of people have come out. Eid Mubarak. I say celebrate Eid in a good atmosphere without fear.'

"Prime Minister Modi had said that he wanted to make the whole of India one, it is our endeavour not to cause any problems to the citizens of the country," Satyapal Malik added.
