Srinagar: Two terrorists were killed and a terrorist was critically injured in a brief encounter at Lavepora on the outskirts of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir, which is undergoing treatment at the State Hospital in Srinagar. A CRPF soldier has also died in the encounter. Police have said that only two terrorists have been killed. The news is written, the police are calling the third terrorist seriously injured.

The encounter started after an attack by terrorists on a Naka party at Lavepora on the outskirts of Srinagar on Thursday afternoon. The 3 terrorists were riding towards Scooter on Srinagar and were asked to stop at the block laid by the CRPF at Lavapora, but the militants opened fire in which a CRPF soldier died.

Security forces also retaliated, in which two terrorists were killed. The third terrorist tried to escape in an injured condition but was caught by the security forces and taken to the hospital. According to the police, his condition remains critical. Interestingly Santu Devi, a female officer of the 73 battalion of CRPF, led the operation, she handled the entire operation and managed to kill the terrorists and thwarted the terrorists' plans.
