New Delhi: PM Modi inaugurated Rani Laxmi Bai Central Agricultural University in Jhansi through video conferencing today. PM Modi inaugurated the college and administration buildings by pressing the button from Delhi itself. Apart from PM Modi, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar also attended the virtual gathering organized during this period.

After inaugurating the college and administration buildings of Agricultural University, PM Modi also interacted with the students through video conference. During this, PM Modi said in his address that the government is starting several projects to ensure the availability of water in the drought-affected Bundelkhand region. Along with this, PM Modi said that India controlled the attack of locusts through modern technology including drones.

Earlier, PM Modi himself had informed about this by tweeting that he is going to inaugurate the Agricultural University. PM Modi had tweeted that, "This will improve the infrastructure of education and will help in cutting edge research in agriculture as well as further farmer welfare."
