Ranchi: A woman was shot dead after entering her house in the Satbarwa police station area of the Palamu district of Jharkhand on Friday night. The incident took place at Badlaya Tola in Satbarwa Chatti under the Satbarwa police station area. The woman was sleeping at the time of the incident. The woman has been shot with a skull attached to her forehead.

Police who reached the spot after receiving information about the incident seized the body of the deceased and sent it for postmortem and started an investigation. The cause of the incident could not be ascertained. Police have detained four people for questioning. This includes a woman. Police say the case will be disclosed soon. According to reports, a 35-year-old woman was shot dead by miscreants after entering her house in Badlaya Tola last night.

The woman reportedly succumbed to her injuries on the spot after being shot. Villagers gathered at the spot at night when the incident was reported. Police also rushed to the spot after receiving information and seized the body. Police have rushed the body to Medini Rai Medical College Hospital for a postmortem on Saturday morning. The woman's son said three people were quarreling while drinking around 8 pm on Friday. They may be involved in the incident.
