Ranchi: The entire police department in Jharkhand's Chatra district was ashamed due to the obscene acts of a policeman. However, the woman started shouting, following which the villagers caught hold of the accused policeman and handed him over to the police at the concerned police station. A case has been registered against the accused policeman in the police station on behalf of the victim.

The policeman has been identified as Amlesh Kumar, he has been arrested and sent to jail. Actually, this shameful incident happened in the industrial city of Tandwa in the Chatra district of Jharkhand. On the occasion of Saraswati Puja, a cultural program was organized in Hechabalia on Thursday (January 26) night. The 25-year-old married woman was returning home from the event. Meanwhile, the accused reached the woman's house behind her and forcibly started molesting the woman. Not only this, after molesting, the accused Amlesh Kumar tried to rape the victim by pressing her mouth.

Meanwhile, the woman started protesting and shouting in her defense. Hearing the woman's voice, the villagers gathered around and caught the accused Kamlesh Kumar, and handed him over to the Tandwa police. Tandwa police, who reached the spot, arrested the accused ZAP jawan Amlesh Kumar and sent him to jail. The accused jawan is the bodyguard of Simaria MLA, who had just come to his village on leave. An FIR has been lodged by the victim at Tandwa police station against the accused Kamlesh Kumar for molestation and attempt to rape. 

Tandwa police have also recorded the statement of the victim married woman under Section 164 in Chatra court after a medical examination. After the matter came to light, the police of Tandwa police station started investigating the whole case. The locals have demanded from the police authorities that the accused should be dismissed immediately and strict action should be taken against him. The accused Amlesh Kumar is said to be a resident of Saradhu panchayat.
