Kalakhand, the Indian milk cake is a moist, sumptuous, and simple-to-make sweet that will make you crave for more. Such a delkicious sweet is made by reducing milk to a solid form and adding sugar. Easy to make with a few handy ingredients, a fantastic dish to offer to the God.

Ingredients: 

full cream milk - 1.5 litres
clarified butter - 1.5 tablespoon 
alum- crushed- 1/4 tablespoon
pistachios sliced- 1 tablespoon
sugar- 3 tablespoon

Method of Preparation : 

-In a thick bottomed pan boil the milk. Sim the flame and keep on boiling for about 15 minutes. Keep stirring the milk with a spatula in a periodic time so that it doesn’t stick to the pan.
-Add crushed alum to the milk and mix. Keep stirring the milk till it turns grainy and cook milk till it turns into a solid mass.
-Add sugar to the thickened milk and mix well. -Cook for another 5 minutes stirring continuously.
-Grease a tray with clarified butter.
-Pour the thickened milk mixture in the tray and smoothen the surface. Sprinkle the sliced pistachios on top.
-Set the tray aside and cool the Kalakhand in a dry place for 2 hours and let it set properly.
-Cut into 1-inch square pieces after it sets. Store in a airtight kitchen container. 

The sweet is ready to offer and eat.
