Superstar Kannada actor Kichcha Sudeep received a letter of threat. The sender threatened to post the recipient's personal videos on social media. In a number of IPC provisions, a FIR was filed. Following the interrogation, Ramesh Kitty, a film director and the president of Sudeep Charitable Trust, was taken into custody by Bengaluru Police. He and the actor shared a strong friendship.

Regarding the management of trust monies, Kitty and Sudeep misunderstood each other. Kitty claimed that the Kannada celebrity defrauded him after receiving a 2 crore rupee investment. He had so written Sudeep a letter of threat. The police are looking into this further and believe there are more people involved.
His manager apparently received a threat letter for Kichcha Sudeep that used nasty language. In response to the threat letter, the Vikrant Rona actor stated that he is aware that someone in the business sent it. Sudeep responded to the letter of threat by saying, “Yes, I have received a threat letter and I know who sent it to me. I know it is from someone in the film industry. I will give a befitting reply to them. I will work in favour of those who stand by my side in my tough times."
When he declared his entry into politics for the Karnataka elections, he received the threat letter in the meantime. To campaign alongside CM Basavaraj Bommai, the actor joined Narendra Modi's BJP party.
When asked about the threat letter issue, DCP South Krishnakant first stated,"We have registered an FIR 79/23 is the crime number under sections 505, 506 and 120B of IPC. A person by the name Manju has filed a complaint stating that a letter was received at actor Sudeep’s home. Contents of the letter carried a threatening message. This has come from an anonymous person. We have registered the FIR and we will investigate this further."
Kichcha Sudeep has signed on to work on three films, which have not yet received an official announcement. The actor is prepared to reveal his upcoming project in the coming days. He mentioned a few days ago that he will make his forthcoming project's specifics public on June 1. He also revealed that his future movie's promotional shoot will begin on May 22.
