Dehradun: The second phase of Kedarnath reconstruction of Uttarakhand has also been approved. It will cost Rs 117 crore. The second phase work will start from November 1. Initial discussions are going on with public sector undertakings for the work of 62 crore. After giving the presentation at the PM office, Chief Secretary Om Prakash held discussions with media persons in Delhi. He said that the second phase of Kedarnath reconstruction project has been approved.
The second phase work will be done from CSR Fund. IOC, ONGC, Power Finance Corporation and Rural Electricity Corporation contribute to this. He told that the location of Brahm Kamal Vatika has been identified. Approval of nursery and exhibition has been received. Forest department will prepare it as per the flavor strategy. 50 lakh rupees will be given to the forest department. Land acquisition case is also included in the project.
Also, under the first phase of reconstruction work in Kedarnath, the statue of Adi Shankaracharya will be installed in April. The civil work of building the tomb will be completed by 31 December. Chief Secretary Om Prakash gave this information. He told that in the year 2017, the Prime Minister had started five works. He reviewed these works from time to time. Some of these tasks have been completed. The work of Saraswati Ghat and the faith path there was completed. Some more work to be done. The construction work will be started soon.
