Tech Panda, 33, and Kenzani, 31, in the past five years of creating music have moved on to more mature and spiritual sounds. The track Khoyo being their first step towards this phase.
On a journey to discover the musical universe until it very ends and reinvent local music with new beats, they have a zeal to renew our lost folk heritage in the minds of the coming generations. While working on this project, they experimented with multiple sounds, combining odd music in search of something extraordinary until their craving for a unique sound came to an end.
“With Khoyo, we wanted to ensure the purity of the old song was still there. The memories and feelings attached to the song are too precious to dilute, which is why we wanted an uplifting sound for it. We wanted to preserve the soul of the song while appealing to the new generation.” Kenzani being into electronic music, paired with Tech Panda, a classically trained musician, to merge these two worlds and create magical sounds that resulted in Khoyo.
With a less is more motto in their mind, they kept the vocal processing of this song as raw and true to form as possible. “We do not release a track until we feel goosebumps while making it. If no feelings generate while listening to it, we are not satisfied. That keeps us motivated. " They say.
Khoyo entered the Spotify Top 50 playlist and stayed for 3 weeks straight. It is appreciated all over the country, especially by Rajasthan and its folk community. This song, in reality, is a mark of evolution in the ever-changing world of music.
