BJP National President Amit Shah is scheduled to inaugurate the Durga Puja festival in West Bengal this time in the stronghold of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Party sources disclosed this on Thursday. According to him, Shah will inaugurate the Durga Puja festival of Sanghashree Durga Puja Samiti. The committee has been conducting poojas for the past 73 years. which is likely to be attended by them.

According to media reports, the festival of worship has been inaugurated by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for the past several years. However, much has changed since the rise of the BJP in the West. State BJP General Secretary Saintan Basu is now the head of the Sanghshri Durga Puja Committee. Earlier, Mamata Banerjee's brother Karthik Banerjee was the head of the committee.

According to the information received, one of the committee's functionaries insisted that the committee had nothing to do with politics. Saintan Basu is the Chairman of the Committee. He said that he would talk to Amit Shah's office for the inauguration of the pooja.Sathan Basu said that the club had requested him to go to Shah to inaugurate the festival. Last year, the BJP had set up around 3,000 stalls around Puja pandals across the state.
