Patna: RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav on Friday attacked Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and the BJP over his demand for special state status in Bihar. Lalu Prasad Yadav has also denied reports of Tejashwi Yadav being given command of the party. Former Union Minister Lalu Prasad has reiterated his demand for special status for Bihar.

On Friday, Lalu Prasad Yadav said that special status was a commitment of the BJP and Nitish Kumar had said before joining the BJP that we will go with whoever gives special status. The status of a special state was not received, but they went away at the same time. Lalu said that these mislead the people. Bihar is the most backward state, so this demand is being made. When asked about reports that the Congress is contesting alone in 24 seats of the local body quota, he said whoever has to fight should fight. He said that at the national level, he has an alliance with Congress.

At the same time, refuting reports that Tejashwi Yadav has been made the president of the party, he said that there is no such thing. It is worth mentioning that there is a lot of talk in Bihar's politics about Tejashwi being given the command of the president. Meanwhile, Tej Pratap Yadav, however, said that Lalu Prasad Yadav is the president and will continue to do so.
