Patna: Former Bihar CM Rabri Devi is being questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) team in Delhi in the case of taking land in lieu of a job in Railways. ED called Rabri Devi to its office for questioning, after which she reached the agency's office at 10:45 am. Her questioning started from 11 o'clock. Let us tell you that Rabri Devi reached Delhi on Tuesday with RJD supremo and her husband Lalu Yadav.

Let us tell you that this matter of giving railway job in exchange of land is about 18 years old. At that time Lalu Yadav was the Railway Minister in Manmohan Singh's government of Congress (2004-09). It is alleged that while being Union Railway Minister, Lalu Yadav, without taking out advertisements and flouting rules, gave Group D jobs and instead got people to register their lands in the name of his family. It is said that earlier people were given temporary jobs. After this, when the paperwork of the land was completed, then the jobs of those people were made permanent.

As per reports, the land taken as bribe was registered in the name of Lalu Yadav's family or AK Infosystems Pvt Ltd company. Later this company was transferred in the name of Lalu family. In this case, CBI has filed a charge sheet against 14 people including Lalu Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi, elder daughter Misa Bharti, Hema Yadav, Lalu Yadav's close friend Bhola Yadav. Tejashwi Yadav has also been questioned in this matter. It is being told that Bihar's Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav can also be made an accused in the case.

The ED has registered a case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) on the basis of the FIR lodged by the CBI. The ED has so far claimed to have found evidence of money laundering worth Rs 600 crore in the land-for-job scam. According to the probe agency, out of the properties acquired from crime, Rs 350 crore is immovable property. While 250 crores came to Lalu Prasad Yadav's family through benami people. Senior ED official says that 4 lands bought for just 7.5 lakhs in lieu of Group D jobs were sold to former RJD MLA Syed Abu Dojana for 3.5 crores. Lalu's wife Rabri Devi had transferred most of it to Tejashwi Yadav. Evidence of this is also available with ED.
