Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's name has been coming up in the murder case of Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala in the past after he threatened famous Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Now, the police department has become alert about the possibility of bishnoi gang becoming active in Uttarakhand. Goldie Brar, who has claimed responsibility for the murder of singer Musewala in Punjab, is said to be close to Bishnoi. Sources in the police said that the Bishnoi gang network is now spreading at a fast pace in Punjab as well as through Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi.

The name of the Bishnoi gang has also cropped up in the case of firing outside the establishment of a tyre trader in January 2021 near Rudrapur Galla Mandi. In the firing case, an incident of demanding one crore rupees from a businessman in the name of Bishnoi had also come to light. Subsequently, the name of a person arrested in Haldwani was also talked about to be associated with the Bishnoi gang.

Through a photo on social media, it is being claimed that goldie barad, the culprit of the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala, is a friend of Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann. In the viral photo, a Facebook post of a person named "Goldy Brar" can be seen. The post has a photo in which a man is seen with Bhagwant Mann. The caption of the post reads "Congratulations Cm Saab".
