Now those farmers feel cheated. 250 farmers had deposited the amount of 20 thousand per acre in the name of horticulture farming by the horticulture department. But some farmers got plants of drumstick and some did not get till after the passing of years.

Those who got plants neither got any buyers nor could they cultivate any other crop in the hope of this profit. Alam is that now farmers are going round the department to get back the deposit amount. At the same time, the department is overburdened with this matter, seeing that the matter grows, the Betul Collector has assured to conduct an inquiry. Actually, this is the case of Betul where the horticulture department had shown the dream of farmers to become millionaires from the cultivation of dung. It was told that by growing drumstick in one acre, they will earn more than one lakh.

Seeing this breathtaking dream, about 250 farmers of Betul signed an agreement with the company at the behest of the department and deposited money of Rs 20 thousand per acre. Some farmers received saplings after depositing the money, but were much smaller than the size indicated, which wilted within a few days after being planted in the field. Some farmers have not received the plants till date. Due to this, his field remained empty for a year and he could not grow any other crop. Even farmers who had a crop of hunger in their fields, did not come to buy any leaf from the contracted company.
