Bhopal: The budget session is going on in Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly. The budget session is going to be held on Friday. In the meantime, it is being said that the Religious Freedom Bill 2021 passed against Love Jihad will be passed. Indeed, the opposition had been demanding a separate time in the House to debate this bill for a long time. Recognizing his demand, Speaker Girish Gautam has set a time of one and a half hours to debate the bill in the House.

In the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of the Legislative Assembly, the Congress had suggested a time of one and a half hours to discuss this sensitive law. Today, in the Legislative Assembly, Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra is about to introduce the Religious Freedom Bill. Indeed, the government has implemented this bill by bringing an ordinance on 9 January 2021 for a period of 6 months. You will be aware that it has the provision to punish a person who gets married or gets married for one to ten years of imprisonment and a fine up to a maximum of one lakh rupees by seduction, greed, coercion, and conversion.

At the same time, 23 cases have been registered under this ordinance from January 9 to February 11. In this list, a maximum of seven cases have been registered in Bhopal division, five in Indore division, four each in Jabalpur and Rewa division, and three in the Gwalior division.
