Mumbai: An embarrassing incident of a father raping his 9-year-old daughter in Dombivali in the Thane district of Maharashtra has come to light. He also served alcohol to his eight-month-old daughter. When the mother of the girls opposed it, he would beat her up. The victim's mother has lodged a complaint with the Vishnunagar police station.

The 9-year-old girl was living with her mother, sister and father in the cultural city of Dombivali. When the mother went to the village for a job, the father started misbehaving with her daughter by giving alcohol. The father also threatened not to tell anyone about sexual abuse. When the frightened girl told her mother, the drunk husband also abused and threatened to beat up his wife.

He used to come drunk every day and quarrel with his wife, but now the mother has courageously lodged a complaint. According to the complaint, the police arrested the father. The case is being investigated by women sub-inspector of police M B Kapile under the guidance of Senior Inspector of Police, Vishnunagar, Pandharinath Bhalerao.
