New Delhi: Delhi BJP unit president Manoj Tiwari has accused the Kejriwal government of a Rs 2000-crore scam. Tiwari has accused the Kejriwal government of quoting RTI. Tiwari has accused Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia of scammed Rs 2000 crore in building new rooms in Delhi's schools. He also sought to complain to the Delhi Lokpal.

In fact, the RTI has revealed that around Rs 25 lakh (24 lakh 86 thousand) has been allocated by the Kejriwal government for one room. A class is about 300 square feet. It usually costs 3 to 5 lakh to build a 300 square feet cell. About 77 crore 54 lakh rupees have been allocated so far. 12 thousand 478 rooms are under construction. The total cost of the scheme is reported to be Rs. 2892 crore. Nearly 2 thousand crore more were given, as the work would have been completed in the range of 800 to 900 crore.

Tiwari is alleged to have been given a contract to build a room at Rs 8800 per square foot. The contract was given to his acquaintances. The cost of a five-star hotel room also does not exceed 5000 per square feet. The Delhi government paid Rs 8800 per square feet. Tiwari said, "We are going to complain to the Lokayukta to get the matter investigated. Manish Sisodia should resign from his post and tell us where these sums of money have gone?"
