LOS ANGELES: Hollywood actor Matt Damon called out friend and fellow actor George Clooney for his actions in Los Angeles. In advance of the 45th Annual Kennedy Center Honors, the actor from "The Martian" delightfully recalled a tale of a terrifying practical joke gone bad.
In a clip from the event, which will appear on December 28 on CBS, Damon said, "It has been said that my friend George Clooney is the last of the true movie stars," according to aceshowbiz.com.
"So I started to consider precisely what that meant." He went on: "Many previous Kennedy Center honorees have undoubtedly been cinematic stars in the traditional sense. Actors with style and sophistication include Gregory Peck, Paul Newman, Henry Fonda, and Cary Grant." Then, he continued, "I think of George, a man who defected as a joke in Richard Kind's cat litter box. Damon continued by explaining the lengths to which the 61-year-old would go in order to amuse others.
"A man who once stole Bill Clinton's paper and wrote bogus messages to stars, claiming how much the President loved their movies," Damon continued of the "Ticket to Paradise" actor. On the "Smartless" podcast, Clooney previously revealed why he urinated in Richard's cat's litter box.
"My tiny kitten. He hasn't urinated in at least three days, "Clooney remembered what Richard told him the previous year.
"The veterinarian then prescribes Metamucil to the animal after he has taken it there. Because I have nothing better to do, I am picking up this small cat's poop, which is currently happening 15 times each day, said the "Ocean's Eleven" star to the "Smartless" reporter "Sean Hayes, Jason Bateman, and Will Arnett serve as co-hosts. "Why, I have no idea. Just funny, really." He went on: "After a few weeks, a lightbulb eventually goes out and I know what needs to be done. I gotta use the kitty box to relieve myself. There is this time right now." George laughed and continued: "When I'm crouching over a kitty box and heading somewhere, " Really? It's funny, I guess. It's great. I'm not sure if that's how I want to be remembered, though. It is about six inches long. Small cat, that is." But Richard was not happy because "he becomes madder and madder and madder." Actor from "Up in the Air" added: "Finally, he declares, "I understand humour! It doesn't amuse me to defecate! ".
