Akhilesh raised Mayank's hand on the dais and said, "I welcome him, his arrival will boost the morale of the party leaders. Let me tell you that a few days ago, Mayank Joshi had met Akhilesh Yadav. It was only after this meeting that there was speculation that Mayank Joshi might join the SP. Sharing pictures of the meeting on the eve of voting in Lucknow, Akhilesh Yadav had written, "Courtesy call from Shri Mayank Joshi ji."
