HYDERABAD: Cherukuri Ramoji Rao, the renowned media magnate and founder of Eenadu and Ramoji Film City, passed away early Saturday morning at the age of 87. He breathed his last at 3:45 am while undergoing treatment at Star Hospital in Hyderabad.

Ramoji Rao was the driving force behind the Ramoji Group, which managed a diverse portfolio of businesses, including the world-famous Ramoji Film City, known as the largest film production facility globally. His legacy in media, cinema, and business continues to inspire many.

Ramoji Rao's influence extended beyond media. His ventures included the Margadarsi Chit Fund, the Dolphin Group of hotels, Kalanjali shopping mall, Priya pickles, and Mayuri Film Distributors.
