New Delhi: Government has given information in Parliament that India's 38,000 square kilometers of Ladakh territory is under the occupation of neighboring country China. With this, the government made it clear in the statement in Parliament that Arunachal Pradesh and Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are integral parts of India. In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, the government also warned Pakistan of any change attempt in Jammu and Kashmir Ladakh.
Minister of State for External Affairs V Muralitharan said in the Lok Sabha, 'There is a dispute between India and China over the international border. In the eastern sector, China claims about 90 thousand square kilometers of land in Arunachal Pradesh. India has an area of about 38 thousand square kilometers under Chinese occupation. He has said that under the so-called 'border agreement' between China and Pakistan on 2 March 1963, Islamabad handed over the Indian portion of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) to 5,180 square kilometers.
Responding to a question on a resolution passed by Parliament on PoK in 1994, Muralitharan said, 'India's principle is that Arunachal Pradesh and Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are integral parts of India and will always be. This has been told to China on several occasions.
