New Delhi: The Ministry of Defense has extended all types of capital acquisition contracts with local vendors for four months. Because of the ongoing lockdown due to Corona epidemic, all the work has been affected. The defense ministry has given a lot of relief to domestic vendors by increasing the deadline.

Apparently there are many domestic vendors in India who make bulletproof jackets, helmets, security kit related accessories, ammunition and small parts of weapons for the army. All such defense industries are greatly relieved by this decision. The Ministry of Defense contracts with companies for this. Which they have to supply in due time. But in recent times, work has not progressed on many contracts made with the Ministry of Defense. This concession given by the Ministry of Defense has brought a lot of relief to domestic companies.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has issued an order in this regard. The order reads, "Force Majeure is applied for 4 months between 25th March 2020 to 24th July 2020". It has also been said in the order that if any of the goods of any person is damaged, then the force Majeure will not apply to them. The company will not get relaxation from the government in case their goods go bad."
