Mumbai: Crime cases are on the rise day by day in Maharashtra. There is a thriving outbreak in rape cases. Now, the recent case that has come to light is from the Thane district. A 15-year-old minor has been raped by 33 people at different times. Police have registered a complaint in the case and arrested 24 persons so far. The entire matter is said to be of Dombivali near Kalyan.

According to the information received, for the first time in the last week of January this year, a 15-year-old girl was raped and videoed by her male friend. A total of 33 people then raped the girl at different places till September by threatening to make the same video public. The rapes took place between January 29 and September 22 in Dombivali, Badlapur, Murbad and Rabale. Police said, after the rape case was unearthed, they have registered a case under the PASCO Act in addition to various sections of the IPC and constituted an SIT led by ACP Sonali Dhole to investigate the entire case.

Out of the 33 persons named by the victim in the case, 24 have also been arrested. Well, this is not the first case. In fact, just a few days ago, there was a heinous incident of rape in the Sakinaka area of Mumbai. After the rape, in that case, the accused had committed a heinous act by putting iron rods in the private part of the victim. The victim later died during treatment.
